This week’s Sixer of the Week, for games between the 10th to the 16th of November, is the veteran Jason Richardson. In that span, the Sixers have been away at Toronto, followed by three home contests against the Bucks, Pistons, and Jazz, and have won as many as they lost. Although Jrue Holiday, recipient of last week’s Sixer of the Week, has been Philadelphia’s biggest stat stacker, a combination of Jrue’s 20 turnovers in the four games and Richardson’s consistent shooting and sound basketball gives him the edge this week.
Jason Richardson missed the first game this week against the Raptors, but has since averaged 1.7 assists, 4.3 rebounds, 1.7 steals, and 16.3 points per game, shooting 45% from the field and 52% from beyond the arc. In those games he has made 11 three-pointers and has turned the ball over zero times, in an average of 32 minutes per game. His free throw percentage in the given span is only 50%, which is quite misleading due to the small sample of four free throw shots. In the week’s final game, in a win over the Jazz, Richardson grabbed eight boards, stole the ball twice, put in 20 points and assisted on two, while going 7-12 from the field and 5-7 from three.
